After school partners collaborate with school teachers to align program activities with school goals and priorities. Programs provide students with additional opportunities to practice the academic skills they are learning in their regular classrooms, and to cultivate study habits and student mindset that contribute to their success in school. Fowler High School after school programs offer a variety of daily academic support and youth development activities that expand student learning including:

• Academic support (homework support, tutoring, math and literary activities)

• STEM instruction (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

• Enrichment, such as arts, gardening, cooking, and computer technology

• Mentoring and support groups (boys/girls groups)

• Youth leadership

• Work internships and college/career readiness activities

• Physical activity

• Community building activities for students and families.
